It was, technically, history in the making. True to their word, Fall Out Boy
's Pete Wentz
and Patrick Stump
undertook a grueling effort that only David Blaine could love—to break the Guinness World Record for the most interviews conducted by a pair in a 24-hour period. Imagine: Hour after hour after hour of trying to summon witty comments and chatty banter with, of all people, radio DJ's. (No offense, but not where we'd go for stimulating convo.) Doesn't really sound like it'd be fun by the 6th one, let alone the 60th, does it? Here's one thing we know: if anyone had the God-given talent necessary to take schmoozing to the next level, it's The Wentz. And guess what? They couldn't have done it without Buzznet.
That's right, not only were Panasonicyouth
at the radio studio where the Guinness-history gabbery was taking place -- they had to swear
to what they witnessed to make the whole thing official.
Of course, we covered the whole shebang top to bottom (er, AM to PM).
Check Panasonicyouth's account
-- which cribs from his own Twitter feed! -- for the latter hours and actual record-breaking. And if you want to know how it all began -- and understand just how lonely a Wentz can be at 2:15 AM -- don't sleep on Amymarissa's mega-roundup
of the crack o' dawn shift.
That is one full day. Here's one more thing we know: right now, Pete and Patrick are zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
